Sam Agnew, a member of the AEMT’s events team says: “Just about every industry relies on pumps and motors somewhere along the line, so these awards will recognise the very important work done by the sort of engineers who rarely feature in the limelight.”
She explains that she is particularly pleased that there are both Rising Star and Skills and Training Awards, because they highlight the forward looking nature of the industry and demonstrate commitment and investment for the long term. Coupled with the Lifetime Achievement Award, they show how experience and expertise combines with development and innovation for a confident future.
Relatively new to the AEMT, Sam says she has been struck by the feeling of pride and fellowship amongst the membership. “I find it heart-warming that so many companies are taking this opportunity to celebrate with their employees in addition to entertaining their clients.”
